Hannut, Belguim 1940 Campaign Released email to someone | printer friendly
Belgium, 10 May 1940: Blitzkrieg! Germany attacks Belgium. Attempts to remain neutral find Belgium forces ill-prepared to counter Wehrmacht "lightning war" tactics. French Calvary Corp armor is finally allowed to cross Belgium borders, but will only commit as far as Hannut, & then only to fight a delaying battle that will allow defenses to be prepared at Gembloux. The French Armee de l'Air & the British RAF Advance Air Striking Force immediately join the battle, but experienced & well equipped Luftwaffe pilots have already secured air supremacy & are striking hard at all Belgium Aeronautique Militaire air bases.

In this campaign created by soda, fly as French, German or British.

Finland 1944 Campaign by Jurbo email to someone | printer friendly

After three years of relatively quiet trench war between the Soviet Union and Finland, the Soviet high command decided to knock Finland out of war. To achieve this, enough troops and material was reserved for conquering Finland. On June 9, 1944, the Soviet Union started a massive attack against Finland.

This package contains two campaigns for this period: one for a Finnish and one for a German pilot career. Both campaigns cover (roughly) June-July of 1944, when the Soviet Union launched its strategic offensive against Finland.

The Campaign is available in the IL2 Add-On Campaigns Download area.

IL-2 Dynamic Campaign Generator 3.34 Posted email to someone | printer friendly
Additions to Version 3.34

Added soda's Mareth Line (Tunisa 1943) campaign. Carrier strikes must now be preceded by reconnaissance missions - the success of which (with weather) will determine whether the following mission is a strike: successful strikes will also allow for successive strikes. Damaged planes landing within 5 kilometers of their home field will now be repaired and not lost with the exception of off-map squadrons. Off-map squadrons always lose damaged planes. Added code for bomber pilots to be awarded medals. Changed skill level descriptions on the "Squadron Editor Panel" from "Skill 0", etc., to "Rookie", "Average", "Veteran", and "Ace". Corrected on-map/off-map status of the "English_Airfield" in the Normandy campaigns. Fixed the "integer error" in the "Add Squadron" routine. Fixed ship rate of fire settings. Fixed victory condition check for single map campaigns. Corrected "SetTroop" command. Fixed bug that would create French manually-generated campaigns in the "RU" campaign folder. Added "Very Slow" (three missions/day) and "Extremely Slow (four missions/day) Time Setting options. Fixed transfer bug that happened only in "Full Auto-generation" Mode. Fixed bug that removed human player identifier when the player was viewed in the Pilot Panel.

Note: This version of DCG should not be installed over versions older than 3.01. Please make a clean install. Campaigns started with versions of DCG numbered less than 3.01 will NOT work with this new version. After installing, remember to reset your basic options and, if using DGen or NGen Replacement modes, make sure these options are re-checked before running FB/AEP/FP or FP.

Switch, I had a look at JastaV's Guam campaign and it looks like there is no link to another campaign. I suppose it assumes if you fly American, you end up in a POW camp for the rest of the war.

Lowengrin on 02 May : 09:22
I'll see if I can replicate the bug on my end this weekend.

WP_Switch on 02 May : 06:24
yeah 3.38 also. Example in Guam I can never get to the IJN Carrier, too many Zeros. With in 4 missions it tells me Campaign 100% complete and the campaign becomes unplayable, rather than moving along to the next map. I've been creating a campaign on the next map, and copying all of the Squadron and Pilot Docs to the new campaign to manually move it along, but its not the same thanks for the help

Lowengrin on 01 May : 17:11
Switch, are you using DCG 3.38? Earlier versions had a bug that caused campaigns not to progress to new maps...maybe it's still there...?!?

WP_Switch on 01 May : 09:26
I hope Im just doing something silly here, but I can't get any of my campaigns to progress to the next map. I have been concentrating on JastaV's Wonderful Pacific 41-45 and start as a Marine on Guam, however everytime I hit the end of the Guam Campaign instead of switching me to Guadalcanal it shows me a Briefing, and tells me Campaign Over or Ended. I dont have single Map campaigns turned on, so any help would be awesome, this has been an issue for me for months and months. It's really frustrating. Thanks for the Help and the DCG!

Bearcat99 on 20 Apr : 18:41
Does anyone remember the Sturmovik scriptPack from the old days.. it used to be posted on Sturmovik DE... no longer there.. it contained several scripts that you could run from either the console or the RCU.. If anyone has it or knows where to get it please send it to me..

Treetop64 on 16 Apr : 21:55
Certainly understandable is the scripting issue for AI troops you raised, especially since each AI troop/crew member on a given map is individually modeled. Still a great game, though, and it segways conveniently with 1946.

Thanks again. ~S~

Lowengrin on 16 Apr : 19:00
I downloaded the demo to Theatre of War last week to check it out. My comments are located here: -link-

Hello Lowengrin.

Long time fan of your excellent work. I was just curious, though: will you be working on a DCG for Theater of War as well? I know it's a long shot at best, but it's an interesting thought nonetheless.

Thanks again for all the great updates to DCG over the years!

WP_Switch on 11 Mar : 10:50
Nevermind, I see what you said in the Forums. Good Idea to wait until 4.09 isn't Beta!
