IL-2 Dynamic Campaign Generator 2.70 Posted email to someone | printer friendly
Additions to Version 2.70

Fixed campaign transfer bug. Italian pilot photos now active (used to default to Hungarian). Tweaked column waypoint setup to fix the single waypoint bug. Fixed promotions and medals not always being awarded. Added option to turn on/off aircraft downgrades. If checked, a squadron that has less planes available then the minimum to outfit the number of flights required for the mission will fly the "downgrade" of their aircraft type. If unchecked, the squadron will be grounded (or in the case of the player squadron, be forced to fly understrength).

Important: versions of DCG prior to 2.61 should be deleted before installing this new one, however, back up any campaigns you have started and wish to keep.

Additions to Version 2.69

Set stationary tank columns used in dogfight campaigns to the same number of tanks that are present in the unit; previously they were all defaulted to four no matter how many casualties had been inflicted on the unit. Corrected message selection for destroyed ground targets. Added "bailed" results from log. Added artillery spotting missions for reconaissance aircraft. Minor tweaks to numerous campaigns, major modifications to Kuban; do not install the new Data files if you are in the middle of a Kuban campaign. Stopped tanks advancing when no fuel supply; they will still move forward a short distance but not advance to a new location. Tweaked column movement. Tweaked debrief messages. Improved end of campaign routine. Automated selection of the "downgrade" aircraft (which can be over-ridden on the Aircraft Class Settings Panel).

Important: versions of DCG prior to 2.61 should be deleted before installing this new one, however, back up any campaigns you have started and wish to keep.

IL-2 Dynamic Campaign Generator 2.68 Posted email to someone | printer friendly

Working to update all the master missions to utilize the AEP plane set. In the process, have added a "swap" routine to replace any AEP plane not available in the original IL2 game or FB game with a suitable replacement. Added fuel trucks to "oil supply" calculations. Fixed coordinate reporting. Tweaked plane placements in numerous master missions. Added two Finnish airfields to the Leningrad campaigns and a couple Finnish squadrons. Activated Winter Leningrad map. Seperated the plane replacement rate for Axis and Allied squadrons. Added check for pilot pictures with new bitmap compression (these will not be display by DCG although they will be displayed in the game). Fixed "chief crash" bug in log parsing. Moved default IP point to 5000m as it appears to improve AI bombing. Fixed bug in map transfers; the stationary file was not updating correctly.

ghostrider, email me.

ghostrider on 03 Sep : 10:17
Is it possible to use the version on the forums which was designed for UP 2.0 on condition I wouldn't use new planes?

Lowengrin on 03 Sep : 08:03
Rumours, rumours, rumours. The latest (as yet unreleased) version of DCG has enhancements which work with MDS.

ghostrider on 03 Sep : 01:05
Hi, Paul, I've read something about new version of DCG, which would work with UP 2.01. Is there any progress?

Lowengrin on 24 Aug : 15:03
All but Med'41. However, the Russian ones follow a German/Russian path and you may find yourself fighting in 1945 for Berlin.

D-XXI on 24 Aug : 13:51
Paul,

thx, I will try that as soon as my own computer has been fixed.

As I could select the Italian career from DCG (Med'41, Tobruk'41, Typhoon '41, Rhez '42 and Kursk, I assumed that those campaigns are linked.

Lowengrin on 22 Aug : 21:16
Further to my note below, as the winner was Italy, you need to change the "Red" to "Blue" in the first line.

Lowengrin on 22 Aug : 21:15
Med'41 is actually a stand-alone campaign. It doesn't link to anything. If you want it to link to Tobruk '41, you'll need to add the following to the grandcampaign.dcg file:

[Mediterranean41 o Tobruk41] Red
Campaign=Western_Campaign
Map=SandsOfTime
StartDate=01/12/1941
Front=Tobruk_Supply_Depot
DeHome=Bengazi_Road
RuHome=El_Alamein_Road
DeBase=Gazala_Airfield
RuBase=Gambut_Airfield
Locale1=Maleme_Airfield
Locale2=Maleme
Locale3=Bengazi_Road_Depot
Locale4=Maleme_Beachhead

D-XXI on 22 Aug : 07:08
Hello Paul,

I have a problem witk the DCG Italian Career. When the first campaign (Mediterrenean) ends because the enemy has retreated, I do not progress to the next campaign (Tobruk). I only get new missions without any enemies. Do you have any ideas?

Lowengrin on 11 Aug : 17:28
You're welcome.
